Her Story
"I will bless you... and you will be a blessing"
Genesis 12:2
Jane Way was born in the Midwest and has an iconic and insatiable work ethic.
Writing has always been her passion and accounting her profession. She met her husband at the University of Denver. He was an Accounting Major (and became a CPA in his own right). In order to stay in Colorado during her first summer, her parents insisted that she remain in school. She enrolled in basic accounting and loved the challenge. After her husband graduated, they married and soon moved to Los Angeles where Jane enrolled at Cal Poly, Pomona. She was the first woman from Cal Poly to be invited to intern with a national accounting firm. Jane has enjoyed an interesting professional career after becoming a CPA. She has been licensed in Kansas, California, and Arizona. She has held CFO and CEO positions. While no longer licensed, she continues working in the non-profit sector and shepherds the accounting for an orphanage in South Africa with administrative offices in Arizona.
Jane has loved writing since she learned to hold a pencil. She loves our language and enjoys using the written word as self-expression. She says, "words work". She enjoys reading a variety of medium and is particularly fond of skimming a dictionary to find new words.
Jane is a woman of faith. She writes about that influence in her life frequently. In the 1990s she served as adjunct staff for a singles ministry in a very large church in Kansas City. That ministry and her “Faith Journey Bible Study" was a time of personal growth, and several poems came out of that time. In addition to facilitating Bible studies, she has been in the pulpit several times and served as adjust staff for a Phoenix community college. She has also served as a CASA (court appointed special advocate) for children in the foster care system. All these experiences have molded her views and values.
Her husband experienced a massive coronary, had open heart surgery, and survived for fifteen years. Together they have one son. She is very blessed to have three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
