If I be waspish, best beware my sting

Taming of the Shrew; Act 2, Scene 1

Postscript to "Taming of the Shrew"

Baron!” the bridegroom cried, “Baron!

So it’s the Baron who takes you from me!?!”

“Nay, my lord, Nay

T’was barren, I said, barren!

My de-seat is not fidelity of heart or sole,

Nay, I would wash my lord’s feet for the joy

Of attending his needs.

Here, my lord hear!

My falsehood is my barren-self,

For I am empty, void of any knew life!

Touch me not, for I can never bring you

 everlasting joy!”

“Baron! The bridegroom cride…

“It was the Baron who stole your heart.”

Alas, my lord, you are write.

At your feat, I beg forgiveness.”

“Woman, you are my eternal hope and joy!

All is forgiven.

Come! Lie with me”
